01 | Before first use
Read this first.
Inspect both boots, integrated controllers, air chambers, fastenings, seams, charging ports and cable before switching FLOW on.
Important safety points
- Use FLOW only while seated or reclined with both legs supported. Do not stand or walk while wearing the boots.
- For a first session, select the lowest pressure—50mmHg—and the shortest timer—10 minutes.
- The boots should feel secure but must not cause pain, numbness, tingling, loss of sensation or skin colour changes.
- Stop immediately and remove the boots if compression feels painful, one chamber becomes excessively tight or you feel unwell.
- Do not use FLOW over wet, broken, infected, inflamed or recently grafted skin.
- Keep the controllers and charging ports dry. Never use damaged boots, controls or charging equipment.

03 | Fitting and setup
Fit FLOW before switching on.
Apply both boots evenly while seated, with the controls accessible and nothing trapped beneath the garments.
Prepare
Wear clean, dry, close-fitting clothing or place FLOW against clean, dry skin. Empty pockets and remove sharp objects.
Position
While seated, place each foot fully into its boot and align the foot, calf and thigh compression areas.
Secure
Close each fastening smoothly and evenly. Remove folds and confirm that cables and controls are not trapped.
Check
Support both legs, keep the controllers within reach and confirm that you can remove the boots quickly if needed.
Correct fit
FLOW should sit evenly from foot to thigh without twisting or bunching. A poor fit can create uneven pressure. If either boot feels excessively tight before inflation, remove and refit it before starting.
04 | Controls
Choose pressure, programme and time.
FLOW provides five pressure levels, three compression programmes and three preset session lengths, allowing each session to be adjusted around comfort, experience and routine.
| Setting | Available options | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Pressure | 50 / 90 / 130 / 160 / 200mmHg | Five adjustable compression levels. |
| Programme | Full-Leg / Sequential / Circulation | Three chamber patterns for complete, upward-moving or lighter alternating compression. |
| Timer | 10 / 20 / 30 minutes | Preset session-duration control. |
| Coverage | Foot / Calf / Thigh | Six chambers provide full-leg compression coverage. |
Start low
For first use, select 50mmHg and 10 minutes. If that remains comfortable, 90mmHg can be considered on a later session before progressing further.
Select a programme
Choose Full-Leg, Sequential or Circulation using the programme control shown on your integrated controller.
Set the timer
Select 10, 20 or 30 minutes. Do not extend a session by repeatedly restarting it.
Monitor comfort
Keep the controls within reach and stop immediately if pressure becomes painful or sensation changes.
Controller detail: Follow the labels displayed on the supplied controller. This online guide explains what each programme does, but the final controller diagram and button-by-button operating sequence should be checked against the printed guide supplied with FLOW.
05 | Compression programmes
Three selectable programmes.
Each programme changes how the six air chambers inflate and release across the foot, calf and thigh. The programme names describe operating patterns and are not medical claims or treatment instructions.
Full-Leg
Starting at the foot, FLOW progressively adds one chamber at a time until the full leg is compressed. The chambers then release and the cycle repeats.
This creates the fullest overall compression sensation and can suit experienced users after demanding training or when the legs feel particularly fatigued.
Sequential
Compression moves section by section from the foot towards the thigh. At different stages, one chamber or two neighbouring chambers may work together.
The result is a continuous upward-moving compression pattern suited to regular post-training relaxation and recovery routines.
Circulation
Different areas inflate and release in turn, generally using one or two sections at a time rather than holding the entire leg under compression together.
This is the lightest, most active-feeling pattern and is the preferred starting mode for first use, a short warm-up or everyday relaxation.
Simply put: Full-Leg progressively builds to complete leg compression, Sequential travels upwards along the leg, and Circulation alternates between different areas. “Circulation” is the programme name and does not mean that FLOW diagnoses or treats a circulatory condition.
Choosing a session length
| Session | Suggested starting point | Typical routine |
|---|---|---|
| 10 minutes | Circulation at 50mmHg | First use, a short pre-training warm-up or a quick everyday refresh. |
| 20 minutes | Sequential at a comfortable pressure | A standard option after regular training or for a dedicated recovery session. |
| 30 minutes | Sequential or Full-Leg for experienced users | A longer option after demanding training, competition or when the legs feel particularly fatigued. |
Frequency: Supplier guidance describes three to four sessions per week as a practical routine. Frequent-training users may use FLOW after demanding sessions, up to once daily, only when it remains comfortable and no contraindication applies. Do not run repeated back-to-back cycles, and do not assume that more pressure or a longer session is better.
06 | Integrated light
Red and near-infrared light.
FLOW contains 80 integrated LEDs combining 660nm red and 850nm near-infrared wavelengths with the compression system.
660nm red
The visible red-light component of FLOW’s integrated LED array.
850nm near-infrared
The near-infrared component may appear very dim or invisible to the eye even when operating.
Light-use precautions
Do not stare directly into illuminated LEDs. Do not use integrated light over photosensitive, acutely inflamed or unexpectedly reactive skin. Check medication and skincare information for photosensitivity warnings and seek professional advice if unsure.
07 | Charging
Recharge for wireless use.
FLOW uses an integrated 3200mAh battery system and USB 5V / 2A charging.
Inspect
Confirm that the controllers, charging ports and cable are completely dry and undamaged.
Switch off
Remove FLOW and switch the system off before connecting the charging cable.
Connect
Use the supplied cable with a suitable USB 5V / 2A power source.
Disconnect
Unplug the charging cable before fitting or operating FLOW.
The available webpage does not confirm charging times or indicator meanings. Add those details only after checking the supplier controller instructions.

- Begin with the lowest pressure and shortest session.
- Do not fold, sit on, puncture or sharply bend an inflated chamber.
- Do not place the boots over jewellery, sharp objects or heavily creased clothing.
- Stop for pain, numbness, tingling, coldness, marked colour change, breathing difficulty or sudden illness.
- Do not use while charging or around water.
Cleaning and storage
- Switch off, disconnect charging equipment and allow every chamber to deflate before cleaning.
- Wipe external surfaces with a soft, lightly damp cloth, then air-dry completely.
- Do not immerse, machine-wash, tumble-dry or direct water into a controller or charging port.
- Do not use bleach, solvents, abrasive cleaners or high heat.
- Store deflated, clean and dry, away from direct sunlight, moisture, pets and sharp objects.
- Roll or fold only as shown in the supplied packaging guidance; do not crease the air chambers tightly.
10 | Troubleshooting
Quick checks.
Switch FLOW off and allow it to deflate before inspecting a boot, controller or connection.
FLOW will not switch on
Recharge the system, disconnect the charging cable and try again. Inspect the controllers and ports for damage or moisture.
A boot does not inflate
Switch off, refit the boot and check that no section is sharply folded, trapped or obstructed. Do not dismantle an air chamber.
Compression feels uneven
Stop the session, fully deflate both boots, smooth the garments and refit them evenly from foot to thigh.
Pressure feels too strong
Stop immediately, remove the boots and inspect your skin. Restart only if comfortable, using 50mmHg and 10 minutes.
Pressure does not change
End the session and use the pressure control to select one of the five confirmed levels before restarting.
The programme does not change
End the active cycle, then select Full-Leg, Sequential or Circulation using the integrated controller.
The session ends automatically
This is expected when the selected 10, 20 or 30-minute timer reaches zero.
Some LEDs look unlit
850nm near-infrared output may be difficult or impossible to see. Do not stare into the light to check it.
FLOW will not charge
Check the supplied cable and USB 5V / 2A source. Stop if a port, cable or controller is wet, damaged or unusually warm.
Unusual noise, heat or smell
Switch off, remove the boots and stop using FLOW. Contact PRFRM 1 support.
